BURLINGTON – West Bladen graduate Laikyn Pait batted 5-for-11 and slugged a home run for Southeastern Community College in the Region X/District F DII Softball Tournament at Springwood Park.

Pait slammed a double Thursday morning, but her SCC Lady Rams lost to No. 2 seed Louisburg College 4-1.

The sophomore catcher walloped a home run, a double and batted 4-for-5 with four runs scored and two runs batted on Thursday evening as SCC outscored Paul D. Camp Community College 17-11.

The Lady Rams were eliminated Friday morning by top seeded Pitt Community by an 11-3 score.

Pait batted .330 with 36 hits in 34 games this season for SCC. The Bladenboro native blasted four home runs and eight doubles for a .532 slugging percentage, drove in 19 runs and scored 26 runs.
