Larrell Murchison and the Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms on a four-year contract valued at $3.57 million according to the EnterSports Management firm that represents Murchison.

Thursday afternoon the agency tweeted, “We are excited to announce that #TeamESM client @Murchboy92 and the @Titans have agreed to terms on a four-year rookie contract! Get ready Nashville!”

Murchison shared that tweet and tweeted, “God is great #titanup.”

The Titans selected Murchison in the fifth round of the National Football League draft with the 174th overall pick making him the first Bladen County athlete to be drafted by the NFL.

Overthecap.com reported that the annual value of Murchison’s contract was $893,186. The former East Bladen and N. C. State standout was the first of the Titans six draft picks to sign with the team.

Titanswire’s Mike Moraitis wrote, “At the very least Murchison will provide depth upfront, but he could carve out a role as a situational pass-rusher given his knack for getting to the quarterback.

Moraitis added, “On top of his ability as a pass-rusher, Murchison has been lauded for his character and a non-stop motor. He brings an intriguing skill set to the Titans and could provide quite the value based on where the Titans got him in the draft.”

Murchison totaled 82 tackles, 11 sacks and 20 tackles for loss in his two years at N. C. State. He was named second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference in his senior season.

The Elizabethtown native upped his draft stock with standout performances at the Senior Bowl and then at the NFL Combine.
