The holidays are upon us, and Christmas cheer is spreading across Bladen County. NFL Tennessee Titan Larrell Murchison is hosting a Christmas Toy Drive.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 22, 2021, NFL sports star Larrell Murchison will be handing out bikes and helmets to those children who need them. Santa will be on-site handing out toys. The Christmas giveaway starts at 10 am and will continue while supplies last.

The bikes are donated by Titan Larrell Murchison, and Safe Kids of Bladen donated the helmets. Toys were collected by the Bladen County Public Library and local caring community members.

Murchison said, “I’m excited about it and glad I can give back to children in Bladen County. I hope I can spread some Christmas spirit around.”

“We are happy these toys will be going to children who need them,” Sheila Nance, Director of the Bladen County Public Library, stated.

The Barefoot Brew wagon will be handing out free fresh cups of brew for the first 50 people. The event will be held at the BladenOnline office during the Happiness is Handmade Arts and Crafts Show. Handmade arts and crafts will be for sale by local vendors. Vendor fee is $5 for set up. Proceeds from vendor fees will be donated to Toys for Tots.

Brenda Jackson, one of the crafters, will be donating her proceeds to Toys for Tots. “I just want to help where I can,” Ms. Jackson stated.

The BladenOnline office is located at 1110 S. Poplar Street in Elizabethtown.
