Today was the last day on the bench for the Honorable Judge William F. Fairley. He is retiring. Judge Fairley is a district court judge for the Thirteenth Judicial District, which presides over Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus counties.
Judge Fairley was appointed to the court in December of 2007 by former North Carolina Governor Mike Easley.
His colleagues in Bladen County celebrated his retirement by dressing to impress.
Local Attorney Cynthia Singletary said, “We all wore bow ties in his honor because he loves them so much. He also loves seersucker and light cotton suits!”Share:
