Spread the love

The annual Christmas for Kids project ended with smiles again this year. The Bladenboro Police Department along with Southeastern Cruisers Car Club work together each Christmas season to bring joy to local children.

The Bladenboro Police Department collects donations each year for the annual project. The officers take selected children on a shopping trip. Items such as winter coats, clothes, shoes, undergarments, hygiene products and toys are purchased on the shopping trip for the kids.

The Southeastern Cruisers Car Club donates bicycles every year. Betsy Helms, one of the club members, said she was really excited to see the children’s faces this year.

There were 16 children benefiting from the program this year. The photos are of Bladenboro Police Officers with Santa Claus and the Bladenboro Primary School’s Administrative staff members, the Southeastern Cruisers Car Club members, and Ms. Tina Brock, Walmart Manager. Photos of the children are always withheld due to privacy reasons.

“We would like to extend our appreciation to all of the citizens, businesses, and churches that made this possible,” Bladenboro Police Chief Howell stated.

If you would like to assist with this annual project it is not too late. The program collects donations all year long. Checks can be made payable to Christmas for Kids and can be dropped off at the Bladenboro Police Department or mailed to Bladenboro PD, P. O. Box 455, Bladenboro, NC 28320.
