Good-bye November and hello December. I hope you all are feeling happy and healthy today. If you’ve just enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving holiday and are ready for the approach of the Christmas season, I’m with you. Elizabethtown has turned on the lighted decorations and snowflakes are twinkling on every corner. (At least these snowflakes don’t present any driving hazards.)
If you or someone you love has been under-the-weather due to the spread of COVID-19, my heart goes out to you. I hope and pray for your (or your loved one’s) full recovery. This pandemic reinforces the need for our public health departments and reminds us once again of all the benefits we receive from the hard work our friends at the Bladen County Health Department. Not only do they administer tests and perform contact tracing, but each month they inspect our local diners, cafeterias, restaurants and kitchens for proper sanitation and healthy conditions.
