Hello again Bladen County. You might have been skeptical last month when I mentioned the expectation of some cooler weather but at long last, it’s here. Have you turned on your heat yet? I have.
As you know, our friends over at the Bladen County Health Department take public health very seriously as they perform monthly inspections to ensure sanitary conditions in our local restaurants, kitchens, cafes, cafeterias, day care centers and eateries. I’m glad they do. As you check the list of facilities which received recent inspections, remember to thank them for all they do.
As you might expect, many of our school cafeterias are on the list with good reports. It’s also a good idea to check the list before taking your family out for a nice meal. As we head into the cooler months, some of us cook a bit less, making it all the more important to stay informed and aware. I hope your next meal out will be the best one yet, and as always, bon appetite.
