Dear friends,
I am writing to you today not as a political pastor but as a concerned Christian. As we all know, our nation is moving further and further away from its original biblical moorings. While our motto remains, “In God We Trust”, our actions speak much louder than those words.
You may or may not know, but there is a special election coming up on June 7 for the new 9th Congressional District. My friend, Rev. Mark Harris, is a candidate running for Congress to represent this newly formed district. Early voting begins this week. While I would certainly never endorse a political party or candidate from the pulpit, I would encourage you to vote in this special election and to ask God to confirm in your heart who would best represent biblical values in Washington. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”
