 BELMONT – East Bladen grad Lexi Dawson batted 4-5 with a double Saturday as her St. Andrews Lady Knights split a double-header with Belmont Abbey.
 
Dawson connected for one hit in the opener as St. Andrews rode a 4-run fourth-inning to a 6-4 victory.
 
In the nightcap Dawson slammed a double to left-centerfield in the second inning to drive in the first Lady Knight run. The sophmore firstbaseman laced a single to left-centerfield to begin the St. Andrews fourth then scored on Symphony Arguedas’ home run.
 
Dawson ripped a single to centerfield in the fifth inning to finish a perfect 3-3 game at the plate, but Belmont Abbey claimed a 6-4 victory.
 
St. Andrews is now 17-29 on the season and will conclude regular-season play Sunday with a double-header at Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte that begins at 11 a.m.
