LAURINBURG – East Bladen grad Lexi Dawson doubled, scored a run and drove in one Friday as her St. Andrews Lady Knights defeated Montreat 10-2 in the second game of a double-header.
After Montreat took a 2-0 lead, Dawson hammered a double to centerfield to lead off the bottom of the first inning. Sam Lowder knocked her in with a double.
Dawson drove in a run in the second inning with a sacrifice fly to leftfield and drew a walk in her final at-bat.
In St. Andrews 3-2 loss in Friday’s first game, Dawson walked and scored in the first inning.
Dawson is batting .259 in 16 games for the Lady Knights and has a .407 slugging percentage.
The Lady Knights will travel to Tennessee Wesleyan Friday for a double-header beginning at 1 p.m.
