East Bladen grad Lexi Dawson is leading the St. Andrews softball team in hitting with a .340 batting average and .447 slugging percentage. The Garland native has slammed 5 doubles, scored 5 runs and drove in 5 runs in 20 games.
In a double-header split with Mount Olive, Dawson batted 4-5, hammered a pair of doubles, scored a run and drove in a run. In a double-header against Converse, the senior firstbaseman finished 4-6 at the plate with a double and 3rbi’s.
Other top performances by Dawson included a 3-4 day at the plate with an rbi in a win over Fayetteville State, and a 2-5 performance with a double against Point, GA.
The Lady Knights are 3-5 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play and 6-14 overall.
