Amanda Freed West has plenty to be excited about with the grand opening of her business the Little Oak Boutique located at 112 West Seaboard Street in Bladenboro. The store is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.; open on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and closed on Wednesday and Sunday.

The store carries an array of items that can be either monogrammed or embroidered including hair bows, scarves, sweaters, dish towels and such.

West also carries an array of wooden cutouts including apples, pineapples, footballs with team logos, wooden cutout signs with slogans such as Santa Stop Here, homemade aprons and baby towel aprons.

She said the baby towel apron is made as an apron on the top portion and form about the waist down, it is a towel to help with getting baby out of the bath.

West also carries a line of items to raise funds to help with Leah Storms’ medical expenses. The items are made by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Storms.

There is also artwork, photos, and a line of costume jewelry available.

“I’ve always, since I was a little girl, wanted to open a boutique,” said West.

She and her husband have been involved in screen printing for 13 years but have never had a storefront. West said she felt it was time to make that dream reality.
