StickersAfter the recent spate of events that have taken place across the country, folks are beginning to seek out ways they can show support for the men and women in law enforcement. For Pastor Anthony Hardin of First Assembly of God Church in Bladenboro and his congregation, undertaking an effort to have a set of stickers printed that the public as well as law enforcement officers can purchase, was their way of saying, “thank you.”

Bladen County Sheriff James McVicker lent his support to Pastor Hardin’s efforts on Thursday. The stickers are white and blue in color and have an outline of the State of North Carolina with a blue lien through the center. The words “We stand with you” are printed across the top. The stickers cost $10 each. Stickers can be purchased from the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, Bladenboro, Elizabethtown, and White Lake Police Departments as well as the BladenOnline office in Clarkton.

Proceeds from the sell of the stickers will be used to support the officers involved in the recent events in Dallas and Baton Rouge. In addition some of the proceeds will be sent back to local law enforcement agencies for use at their discretion.

The First Assembly of God is located at 12553 NC 131 near Bladenboro. Pastor Hardin said that recently the church members began talking about ways they could support law enforcement. After some discussion, they decided to conduct a sticker sale.

Sheriff McVicker said that he is honored and humbled not only by the efforts of the First Assembly of God but by other churches and people in Bladen County.

“Bladen County is a wonderful place to live and work. The people here make all the difference in the world,” said Sheriff McVicker.
