Bladen’s Census numbers continue to track low compared to the state average. Bladen County Census submission percentage is at 45.40 percent, according to Jan Hester Maynor, Special Projects Planner, with Lumber River Council of Governments.
Hester stated, “Workers are out in the field now contacting nonresponse households, but we need to make sure our residents are opening the doors and completing the forms.”
