This Saturday was the final auditions to be part of LoWanda Davis Productions’ cast members according to owner, LoWanda Davis. Auditions were held until 4 pm at the Bladen County Public Library in Elizabethtown for the production company.
Open to anyone with a talent, young and old the turn out for auditions was a about 20 people. Last year LoWanda Davis Productions brought “Why Me?” to Bladen County with great success. Now, the company’s plans have expanded.
“What I’m doing now is getting ready to film and then do the “Why Me” play in Lumberton at the Lumberton Civic Center. Then once we preform “Why Me?”, we will do “Why Me? 2″ and film it live.” Davis said.
According to Davis her plan will include producing both plays again and filming the productions, all within the next two years. “This will be the last audition because we have to do our photo shoots.” Davis announced.
Talent turned out ready to preform the lines like professionals. Davis explained, “I am pushing my actors because they have to practice two different scripts at the same time due to filming both productions.” Her plan is to film at the Elizabethtown Middle School.This is a great opportunity for people in and around Bladen County. When we asked her why pick Bladen County, Davis said, “I can give people something to look forward to and give them a chance to do something they have always wanted to do.”
