Spread the love

Leland, NC – All families who have experienced the death of someone special are invited to Lower Cape Fear Hospice’s no-cost Spring Family Day on Saturday, May 11, in Shallotte.

Led by LCFH counselors and trained volunteers, this day combines fun activities with grief education and emotional support. Spring Family Day allows families to meet friends facing similar circumstances; honor and memorialize loved ones; participate in horseback-riding, drumming, and playing on inflatables; process grief in healthy ways; and enhance self-esteem.

Spring Family Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 623 Village Road in Shallotte. Space is limited; to register, call 796-7991.

Children of all ages are encouraged to attend Spring Family Day, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Family Day provides a unique opportunity to increase levels of hope and especially for families to learn that they are not alone.

Lower Cape Fear Hospice is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the highest level of care and comfort to patients with life-limiting illness; support and counseling to families; and education to the community. For more information, visit lcfh.org.
