Lower Cape Fear HospiceLower Cape Fear Hospice will offer a free 90-minute grief workshop, Supporting a Griever. It will be  held from 3 until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at its Bladen County office, 106 W. Broad St. in Elizabethtown.

“It’s often hard to know what to say or do when someone you care about is grieving,” Melissa Rogers, LCFH bereavement counselor, said. “This workshop will help people embrace the opportunity to confidently provide support as they apply various tips learned for helping others through grief, loss and bereavement.”

Workshops will be offered the second Tuesday of each month through December. Each will focus on a specific aspect of grief and the grieving process.

Registration is required. For more information, call 910-515-6689. When leaving a message, please leave your name, phone number and indicate the specific program you wish to attend. Sessions are free. Donations are appreciated. Additional groups will form throughout the year. Grief counseling services are available to LCFH patients’ families, as well as others in the community. Program interns are supervised by licensed counselors.
