Lu Mil Vineyard’s Annual Festival of Lights Returns

This year, Lu Mil Vineyard will honor Bladen County’s own NASA Astronaut, Retired Lt. Col. Curtis L. Brown Jr., with the addition of a huge space shuttle inflatable display. This tribute is just one of many exciting features added to this year’s festivities. There are also many enormous figurines, the lighted windmill, the Wishing Well (all donations will be given to The Mercy House, a local organization that helps babies & pregnant mothers with essential items), the 12-days of Christmas LED ornaments, and lots of everyone’s favorite Christmas icons. The beautiful oversized American flag is a tribute to our military that is flown every year as part of the Light Show. The Candy Shop carries hundreds of your favorite old-fashioned candy as well as toys and gifts. “We hope that everyone will keep CHRIST in Christmas and make our Festival of Lights one of their family’s Christmas traditions!”, says Denise Taylor Bridgers.

The Country Buffet will open from 5pm to 9pm at $15 per person including drink and dessert with the Drive Thru Light Show running from 6pm to 10pm. The Candy Shop, Kiddie Land, Hot Chocolate Booth & Gift Shop are open every night of the show. Also, the REAL Santa will be onsite every night for FREE photos; bring your camera or phone and be sure to tag Lu Mil Vineyard as you share your memories on Facebook. The Drive-Thru Light Show is $10 per person or $120 maximum per vehicle (bring your buses, church vans, hayrides, etc.). Children 5 and under are FREE for the Light Show.

The Gift Shop will offer FREE wine tastings (with an alcohol-free option as well) and is open daily. Shop Local with Lu Mil Vineyard and visit them for wine, cider, juice, jelly, jam, salsa, pickles, etc. during the entire holiday season. The Gift Shop will have extended hours during the Festival of Lights and will remain open until 10pm. The Gift Shop will also be open on Christmas Eve from 10am-6pm for last-minute gifts.
