Two Bladenboro residents were arrested Wednesday and charged with operating a methamphetamine lab at a home on Julis Drive, Bladen County Sheriff James McVicker said.

Josh Hurst, 29, and Amber Brisson, 26, were charged with manufacture methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, and maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substance following a two-month undercover operation, McVicker said. Each received a $10,000 secured bond.

Sheriff’s Office deputies and members of the Elizabethtown Police Department raided the home Wednesday morning.

“Many times folks do not think we are doing anything to combat drugs, but when we start this type of investigation we know it may take several months to complete. There are others involved with the two we arrested who are also making, using and selling methamphetamines in the Bladenboro area. We know who they are and we will be making additional arrests in the near future.”
