This summer from May 21 – 30, 2016, Tavonda and Freddrianna McElveen will be traveling to Granada, Nicaragua with the World Vets program. This program will allow Tavonda both experience and exposure in to the field of veterinary medicine. It will allow Freddrianna to practice the information she has learned the past two years, and prepare for surgery and clinics next year.

World Vets International Veterinary Medicine (IVM) Program is World Vets student program, to which we will be traveling. Students like us will receive hands on instruction in relation to the preparation, execution and recovery of patients from spay and neuter surgery. We will benefit from this multi – disciplinary training and cultural experience as it will enhance our education and give us a broader understanding of veterinary medicine. Spay/neuter services will be provided to less fortunate families in the Nicaraguan community.

We are working to raise funds for this educational journey, and doing so alone as a student is not easy. The program fee for each student is about $1800.00, and the flight is $800.00. Any  donations and support will be greatly appreciated, because it will be supporters like you that make this trip go from a dream to a reality. We really appreciate your assistance and thank you in advance for your support,  I cannot wait to share my experiences with you!
