As our community continues to battle this silent war against COVID-19, our schools are making every effort to stay connected to the students.
The bus drivers, who take these students into their care every day, know the routes and where to find the children who depend on transportation to school and a hot meal. Yellow school buses leave daily, Monday through Friday, from various Bladen County Schools to deliver meals to children.
Bladen County is to be commended for not only this valuable service to our children, but for keeping our bus drivers employed. We are in unchartered territory with this virus, but one thing is for certain, Bladen County bus drivers will continue serving our children and make sure to deliver a good meal.
So, when you see a yellow bus on the road, remember to honor the stop sign and know there are angels on board working for our children.
