Joan is a native of Bladen County. She completed her Master’s and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from East Carolina University. Joan continues to work and serve the patients of Bladen County with personalized care in various clinics here at Bladen County Health Department. Those clinics include our Family Planning/Maternity Clinics, as well as our Children’s Health Clinics.
Family Planning Clinic provides family planning services to women of childbearing age who want help in planning their pregnancies and/or in limiting their number of pregnancies. Family planning and reproductive health services are also available for men.
Maternity Clinic provides quality prenatal care, counseling, and education to expectant women.
Children’s Health Clinic provides well-child health screenings that are held Monday-Friday by appointment only for children and adolescents up to age 18. Pre-school and kindergarten physicals are also available Monday-Friday with an appointment.
