In tradition, last week, the Elizabethtown Foxglove Garden Club decorated a fresh Frasier Fir Christmas tree at Cape Fear Farmers Market in Elizabethtown. According to the decorating committee, the tree’s decor is all-natural and handmade ornaments. The tree’s skirt is also natural, lined with fir tree limbs and golden pinecones.

The garden club purchased the tree from the Elizabethtown Optimist Club’s annual Christmas Tree Sale fundraiser. The Optimist Club moved its annual fundraiser sale this year and now has trees for sale at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market located at 106 M.L.K. Drive in Elizabethtown.

This year the Christmas Tree Decorating Committee Chairperson was Teresa (Terri) Dennison.  Committee member Jess Sutton brought her decorating daughter with her this year to join in on the fun. Cates Sutton made the project even merrier, according to club members. Billie Hall, Jane Priest, Sky Moore and Sherry Hayes were also on the tree decorating committee.  Other club members joined in on the beautification project as well.

The garden club decorates a Christmas tree each year at the farmer’s market as one of their beautification projects for the town of Elizabethtown.
