According to Rev. Keith Graham, throughout October, Men and Women United for Youth & Families has provided “Safe Polling Sites” in Bladen County.

Rev. Graham said, “We just want to make a safe, happy environment for people to come and vote.”

The local non-profit has big plans for tomorrow, General Election Day. The Men & Women United for Youth & Families will have a tent set up across the street from the gym located at 803 West King Street in Elizabethtown. The group will offer free hot spots, food, games, music, and some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for those that come out to vote. Fletcher “Big Show” Collins will also be on-site with his custom Kobe Bryant tribute for people to see. Lunch will be provided for voters around 11:30 a.m.

Then on Wednesday, Men & Women United for Youth & Families will be at the Bladen County Board of Elections office located at 301 S. Cypress Street in Elizabethtown from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. serving free meals again.

“We just want to say thank you to all who are involved in the election process,” Rev. Graham stated. The public is welcome at both events.
