East Bladen High SchoolELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen’s Eagles clinched sole possession of the Three Rivers Conference men’s soccer championship Monday night with a 2-0 victory over Red Springs.

Sophomore Jake Evans and junior Greyson Heustess fired in goals for the Eagles. Sophomore Gabe Barber and seniors Brooks McGill and Caleb Hatchell assisted on the East Bladen goals.

Evans and juniors Pierce Melvin and Dan Tatum led the East Bladen defense with 15 steals each. Gabe Barber finished with 14 steals, McGill followed with 12 steals and junior Keshaun Davis collected 11 steals.

Junior Spencer Scott recorded the shutout in goal for the Eagles and was credited with 4 saves.

Coach Jay Raynor’s Eagles improved to 13-0 in league play and 19-1 overall.

East Bladen also won the jayvee game by a 2-0 score.
