DUNN – Junior Jeremy Cifuentes scored a pair of second half goals that rallied Midway to a 2-1 Four County Conference men’s soccer victory Wednesday night over East Bladen.
The Eagles had taken a 1-0 lead in the first half when senior Grey Cabellero scored off of an assist from junior Brooks McGill.
Sophomores Greyson Heustess and Ezequiel Arteaga led the Eagle defense with 7 saves each. Cabellero, sophomore Pierce Melvin and freshman Gabe Barber finished with 6 steals each. Sophomore Josh Pope had 5 saves, and McGill, junior Caleb Hatchell and sophomore Keshaun Davis were credited with 4 steals each.
Sophmore goalie Spencer Scott finished with 5 saves for East Bladen.
East Bladen is now 5-3 in conference play and 9-4-1 overall. The Eagles travel to Clinton Monday for a 6 p.m. game.
