DUBLIN- Junior Victor Lopez fired in 2 second-half goals as West Bladen rallied for a 2-1 Three Rivers Conference victory over South Columbus Thursday night.

Adolfo Cardenas scored a first-half goal to put the Stallions on top. “We started out flat, allowing the other team to get an early goal,” said West Bladen Coach Phillip Turnage. “We had a lot of shots at goal in the first half but were never able to connect.”

Coach Turnage continued, “After the first half, Victor came out with a vengeance, scoring two goals in about a 5-minute time period. That was enough to seal the win. We needed one after two very disappointing losses earlier in the week.”

The Knights improved to 4-2 in conference play and are 4-4-1 overall. West Bladen will host rival East Bladen Monday night.
