Michael Eugene Tatum

Michael Eugene Tatum, 60, passed away at his Wilmington, North Carolina home. He was born on August 13, 1961 in Elizabethtown, North Carolina from late parents Eugene Claxton Tatum and Anne Carol Thorpe.
He graduated from North Carolina State with a degree in Biology and Chemistry and a minor in Zoology. His first job out of college was with the Boy’s Scouts of America. Michael then proceeded working with numerous pharmaceutical companies such as Wyatt, Summit, Novartis, and Innovex.
Michael was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing, trapping, scuba diving, and golf. He also enjoyed travel, vintage cars, and karate.
He is survived by his children, Christopher Tatum, Bradford Tatum, Matthew Tatum, Ryan Tatum, and Acie Tatum; siblings, Chris (Dana) Tatum and Greg (Melissa) Tatum and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his mother and father, and his niece, Alexandria Tatum.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, 24th at 1:00 pm at the Covil Estates’ Clubhouse.
