BLADENBORO – Bladenboro scored 8 first-inning runs en route to an 11-1 non-conference baseball victory over Emereau Charter Thursday.

Andre Moore drew a lead-off walk, stole second base and scooted home when Aiden Russ yanked a single to leftfield. Michael Young slammed a double to left-centerfield, and Russ darted home on a passed ball. Stephen Matheson walked, and Cade Allen smacked a single to centerfield that scored Young.

Wadeyn Norris walloped a 3-run home run to right-centerfield that scored Matheson and Allen. Chandler Russ was hit by a pitch, stole 2 bases and scored on a passed ball. Moore walked and circled the bases on a pair of passed balls for an 8-0 lead.

Matheson swatted a single to rightfield to begin the Bulldog second. Chandler Russ was hit by a pitch, and CeeJai Batton walked. Moore knocked in Matheson with a single. Aiden Russ and Aaron Wren drew walks to force home Chandler Russ and Batton for an 11-0 lead.

Nolan Tatum smashed double in the Aviator fourth inning, and Coley Sasser beat out an infield hit. Aiden Hargrove cracked a single that scored Tatum.

Aiden Russ batted 2-2 with 2 runs batted in and a run scored to lead the Bulldogs. Norris slugged the 3-run homer, and Young doubled and scored a run. Moore, Wren, Matheson and Allen connected for one hit each.

Moore scored 3 runs, and Matheson and Chandler Russ scored 2 runs each. Allen and Batton scored one run each. Moore, Wren and Allen drove in runs.

Tatum batted 2-2 with the double and a run scored for Emereau, and Hargrove finished 2-2 at the plate with an rbi. Coley Sasser added a single.

Moore pitched the first 3 scoreless innings to pick up the win for the Bulldogs allowing 2 hits and striking out one. Matheson pitched the fourth and allowed a run on 3 hits.

Coach Keith Wren’s Bulldogs will return to action after the Easter Break in the Bladen County Baseball Tournament at Tar Heel.
