BLADENBORO – Chase Bryan pitched a 3-hitter and struck out 5 batters to lead Bladenboro to an 18-3 non-conference baseball victory over Elizabethtown Tuesday.

Bryan allowed 3 runs, walked 4 and hit a batter. At the plate Bryan batted a perfect 2-for-2, walked twice, scored 4 runs and had 2 RBIs. Luke Bryant finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and 3 runs scored. Ashton Davis slugged a 2-run homer and scored twice.

Devan Stanley walloped a 2-run double for the Bulldogs. Cole Brisson singled and scored twice. Drake Gause belted a 2-run single and scored twice. Sawyer King had a run scored and 1 RBI. Brooks Carroll, Gauge King, Blake Britt and Josh Martin also scored runs.

Isaiah Lloyd batted 2-for-2 with a double, a run scored and 1 RBI for the Cougars. Trey Wilson laced a 2-run single, and Jadarius McArthur and Tykee Hill scored runs. Damian Maynor started on the mound for Elizabethtown.

The Bulldogs jumped in front with 9 runs in the 1st inning. Bryant yanked a single to left and scored on a passed ball. Bryan walked, and Davis crushed a 2-run homer to left. Cole Brisson smacked a single, Gauge King walked, and Gause delivered his 2-run single.

Sawyer King walked, and Bryant reached on an error that scored Sawyer King. Bryan knocked in Bryant with a single to left-center field, and an error on Davis’ grounder plated Bryan.

Cole Brisson reached on an error to begin the 2nd inning. Carroll reached base on an error that scored Cole Brisson. Gause walked, and Sawyer King’s fielder’s choice plated Carroll. Bryant ripped a double that scored Gause, and Bryan walked. Davis reached on an error that scored Bryant and Bryan and pushed the lead to 14-0.

McArthur walked to start the Cougar 3rd inning, advanced on a wild pitch and dashed home when Lloyd raked a single to right field. Tykee Hill was hit by a pitch, and Trey Wilson knocked in Lloyd and Hill with a single to right field.

Martin was hit by a pitch to lead off the Bladenboro 4th inning. Bryant walked, and Martin raced home on a passed ball. Bryan drilled a single to left-center field that scored Bryant. After Davis walked, Stanley hammered a double to left that scored Bryan and Davis and ended the game on the mercy rule.

Coach Tim Benton’s Bulldogs remained unbeaten at 4-0 and will travel to Clarkton School of Discovery Tuesday. Elizabethtown, now 0-4, will host Tar Heel Monday.
