ELIZABETHTOWN –Emereau Charter pounded out 11 hits and defeated Myrtle Grove 13-4 Thursday in middle school baseball action at County Park.

The Aviators jumped in front with 5 runs in the 1st inning. Cole Butler drilled a triple to right-centerfield, and Britt Sasser knocked him in with a single. Nolan Tatum smashed a double to right field that scored Sasser. Tyler Lewis cracked a single to right-center field that plated Tatum.

Andrew Musselwhite smacked a single, and Josh Dawson walked. Hunter Simmons walked to force home Lewis, and Easton Bostic’s fielder’s choice plated Musselwhite.

Butler walked and scored a run in the 4th inning. Lewis walked to start the Avatars 5-run, 5th inning, Musselwhite singled, and Connor Smith and Bostic drew walks to force home Lewis. Zach Sholar slammed a double to left-centerfield that scored Musselwhite, Smith and Bostic. Butler was hit by a pitch, and Tatum smacked a single that scored Sholar.

Musselwhite led off the 6th inning with a single, and Dawson slugged a double that scored Musselwhite. Dawson later scored the Avatars final run.

Tatum batted 3-4 with a double, 3 runs batted in and a run scored. Musselwhite finished 3-4 at the plate with 2 runs scored. Butler tripled and scored 3 runs. Sholar doubled, drove in 3 runs and scored a run. Dawson doubled, had an rbi and scored a run. Sasser had a hit, an rbi and a run scored. Lewis scored twice, had a hit and a run scored. Simmons and Bostic had 2 rbis each, and Smith and Bostic scored runs.  

Sasser picked up the pitching victory for Emereau. The Aviators will host Mintz Academy Friday at 5 p.m.
