ELIZABETHTOWN – Easton Bostic knocked in the deciding run in the 5th inning as Emereau Charter defeated Mintz Christian Academy 8-6 Friday night in middle school baseball action at County Park.

Conner Smith led off the Aviator 5th inning with a single, and Josh Dawson and Tyler Lewis drew walks to load the bases. Bostic belted a single to center field that scored Smith, and Dawson scored on Zach Sholar’s grounder.

The Aviators jumped in front early as Cole Butler walked, and Britt Sasser walloped a double to left field that scored Butler. Sasser dashed home on Nolan Tatum’s grounder.

Emereau added 2 more runs in the 2nd inning. Dawson, Lewis and Bostic drew walks, and Sholar’s grounder plated Dawson. Butler slapped a single to left that scored Lewis.

Andrew Musselwhite walked and raced home on Dawson’s single in the 3rd inning. Sholar raked a single to left to begin the Emereau 4th inning, and Sasser smacked a single. Tatum cracked a single that scored Sholar.

Sasser batted 3-for-4 with a double, a run batted in and a run scored to lead the Aviator hitters. Sholar, Butler, Tatum, Smith, Dawson and Bostic connected for 1 hit each. Dawson scored twice, and Sholar, Butler, Musselwhite, Smith and Lewis scored 1 run each.

Tatum drove in 2 runs, and Sholar, Butler, Dawson and Bostic drove in 1 run each.

Butler started on the mound for the Aviators, and Sholar relieved him.
