CLARKTON – Nakina built an early 7-0 lead enroute to an 11-1 Waccamaw Middle School Conference baseball victory over Clarkton School of Discovery Monday.
The Mustangs capitalized on 8 hits, 6 walks and an error to score their 11 runs.
Hunter Wood led off the Blue Devil 3rd inning with a single, advanced on Aidan Trinidad’s single and scored the CSD run when Jaxon Hair laced a single.
Hair batted 2-for-3 with the RBI, and Trinidad also finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Noah German cracked a 5th inning single for the other Clarkton hit. Omar Powell started on the mound for the Blue Devils.
Clarkton, now 2-3 in league play and 2-4 overall, will host Emereau Bladen Tuesday.
