TAR HEEL – Williams Township built a 6-0 lead en route to a 6-3 Waccamaw Middle School Conference baseball victory over Tar Heel Monday.

The Aggies capitalized on 3 hits and 3 errors to score 3 runs in the top of the first inning. A double and a triple plated another run in the second, and Williams added runs in the third and fourth inning.

Jordan Underwood hammered a double to begin the Panther sixth inning. Destin Montgomery was hit by a pitch, and Purnell Hooper and I’keir Murchison drew walks. Underwood, Montgomery, and Hooper scored runs.

Underwood doubled and scored a run. Murchison and Coleman Page connected for one hit each. Montgomery and Hooper scored runs. Montgomery started on the mound for Tar Heel and struck out 14 batters.

Tar Heel will host Clarkton School of Discovery Thursday.
