BasketballKeyshawn Lewis and Kerron Washington combined for 43 points to lead Bladenboro to a 60-39 Bladen Five Middle School Conference victory at East Arcadia Wednesday.

Lewis poured in 24 points to lead the Bulldog scoring. Washington fired in 19 for the winners who raced to a 14-4 first quarter lead then rode a 21-13 second period surge to a 35-17 halftime lead.

Trenton Lyons pumped in 9 points for the Bulldogs, and Aldo Hernandez added 4 points.

D. Gregg lit up the scoreboard with 17 points for the Panthers. Teammate Kasey Price followed with 9 points, and B. Bowen tossed in 6 points.

Bladenboro improves to 4-3 with the win and moves into a second place tie with Elizabethtown. The two teams play Thursday (tonight) in Elizabethtown.
