Middle School Boys Basketball: Alpha Academy 48, Paul Brown Leadership Academy 37

EAST ARCADIA – Seth Langford poured in 12 of his game-high 19 points during a 22-2 third quarter blitz that carried Alpha Academy to a 48-37 victory over the Paul Brown Leadership Academy Bulldogs.

Teammates Cameron Shelton and Tramad Hipp threw in two baskets each during the third quarter spurt. Shelton finished with 10 points and Hipp totaled 8 points.

Davion Lacey tossed in a trio of first quarter baskets as Paul Brown raced to a 14-4 first quarter lead. Teammate Micah McKoy sank 2 free throws and popped in a pair of baskets in the period.

Micah McKoy bombed in a trio of 3-point shots in the second quarter as the Paul Brown lead grew to 28-14 at halftime. Teammate Corey Peterson fired in a 3-point basket and a 2-point basket in the second period.

After the Alpha third quarter run vaulted the Timberwolves in front 36-30, Hipp and Shelton dropped in two baskets each in the final quarter to preserve the win.

Micah McKoy poured in 18 points to lead the Paul Brown scoring. Lacey pumped in 10 points for the Bulldogs, and Peterson finished with 7 points.
