WHITEVILLE – Jackson Pait and Tylik McCall poured in 28 points in the 1st half as Bladenboro’s Bulldogs raced to a 33-12 halftime lead en route to a 52-27 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys basketball victory Thursday over Williams Township.

Pait buried a pair of 3-point shots and another basket in the opening quarter, and McCall drained a 3-point shot and added 2 other baskets as the Bulldogs jumped out to a 17-7 lead. Teammate Justin Spaulding powered in a basket in the period.

Pait delivered another 3-point basket then burnt the nets with 3 more baskets in the 2nd period as he scored all of his game-high 17 points before halftime. McCall banged in 2 more baskets, and teammate Gavin Elks nailed a 3-point shot to extend the lead to 33-12.

Kendell Lesane muscled in a pair of Bulldog baskets in the 3rd quarter. Spaulding sank a basket and a free throw, and McCall and Hunter Hester tossed in baskets as the Bladenboro lead grew to 44-17.

Keonta Hill pumped in 2 free throws and a basket in the final period for the winners, and Hester and Weston Hilburn netted baskets.

McCall finished with 13 points for the Bulldogs. Spaulding followed with 5 points, and Hester, Lesane and Hill contributed 4 points each. Easton McPherson led Williams with 8 points, and Logan Todd tallied 7.

Coach Joe Gore’s Bulldogs improved to 4-0 and will host Nakina Tuesday night.
