BasketballAnthony Wooten and Majuan McKoy threw in 11 points each Tuesday night to lead the Elizabethtown Cougars to a 29-25 Bladen Five Middle School Conference victory over visiting Tar Heel.

Josh McKoy added 4 points for the winners.

Tyre Boykin topped the Tar Heel scoring with 11 points. Johnathan Salvetti tossed in 6 points for the Panthers.

“It was good, clean, hard-fought game by both teams,” said Elizabethtown Coach Tripp Lancaster.

Elizabethtown improves to 3-2 with the victory, while Tar Heel dropped to 1-4.
