ELIZABETHTOWN – Elizabethtown Middle raced to a 19-0 first quarter lead en route to a 36-4 non-conference boys basketball victory over Paul Brown Academy Tuesday.

Malcolm Bolden drove for four lay-ups in the first quarter for the Cougars, and Yontee Dobson tossed in a pair of baskets. Teammate Jacob Nixon drained a 3-point shot, and Phillip McKiver and Dominick Collins added baskets.

J’Marius Smith and Taran McNeil threw in baskets in the second quarter for the Cougars to boost the lead to 23-3. L. Britton bombed in a 3-point basket for Paul Brown.

Bolden fired in two more baskets in the third quarter, and McKiver and Dobson netted baskets as the margin grew to 31-4. A. Gattius canned a free throw for the Bulldogs.

McNeil and Peyton Tatum popped in baskets in the final period for Elizabethtown, and McNeil sank a free throw.

Coach Larry Williams’ Cougars will be idle until after the Christmas break.
