CHADBOURN – Larry Graham and LaMarr Brown sparked a 30-18 2nd half surge that carried West Columbus to a 40-24 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ basketball victory over Elizabethtown Tuesday night.

Graham poured in 14 of his game-high 17 points in the 2nd half, while Brown scored 12 of his 14 points after halftime.

Ayden Williams sank a basket and a free throw for the Cougars in the 1st half. Teammate Braylon Cromartie tossed in a basket, and Isaiah Lee added a free throw to keep Elizabethtown within 10-6 at halftime.

Cromartie popped in 3 more baskets in the 2nd half to finish with 8 points and share Cougar scoring honors with Williams who drained a 3-point shot and another basket in the 2nd half. Teammate Torrean Cogdell pumped in a pair of baskets in the 3rd quarter and totaled 4 points. C. J. McCracken threw in a 4th quarter basket for the Cougars.

The Cougars, now 2-2, will travel to East Columbus Wednesday.
