CERRO GORDO – West Columbus rode a 29-4 2nd half run to a 50-18 Waccamaw Middle School Conference ‘AA’ Division boys’ basketball victory over Elizabethtown Thursday night.

D. J. Graham fired in 15 points for the Warriors, and K. J. Thurman and Garry Brown added 8 points each. Jaden Lewis topped the Cougar scoring with 6 points, and Nathan Demery threw in 5 points.

Lewis delivered a pair of 1st period baskets for Elizabethtown, and Kaden Johnson tossed in a bucket. Lewis, Demery and Jadarius McArthur popped in baskets in the 2nd period, and John Monroe sank 2 free throws to keep the Cougars within 21-14 at halftime.

Demery pumped in a basket and a free throw in the 3rd quarter for Elizabethtown, and Monroe cashed in a free throw.

The Cougars finished their season with a 2-6 league record and 3-9 overall mark. West Columbus was 6-2 in the league and 10-2 overall.
