WHITEVILLE – Claxton Tatum fired in 2 goals Thursday to lead Clarkton School of Discovery to a 5-1 Waccamaw Middle School Conference A Division boys’ soccer victory over Williams Township.
Isaac Elkins banged in the 1st Blue Devil goal, and Tatum found the back of the net with his 1st goal that pushed the CSD lead to 2-0. Azarion Willis knocked in a goal that stretched the Clarkton lead to 3-0 at halftime.
Tatum drilled in his 2nd goal after halftime, and Salvador Gonzalez pounded in a goal to grow the Blue Devil lead to 5-0. The Aggies scored in the final 5 minutes to spoil goalie Noah German’s bid for another shutout.
Coach Robert Mazur’s Blue Devils completed their season in 3rd place in the Waccamaw’s A Division with a 5-3 league record and 5-4 overall mark.
