Middle School Boys Soccer: Elizabethtown 2, Bladenboro 0

ELIZABETHTOWN – Elizabethtown defeated Bladenboro 2-0 on Wednesday night in Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer action at Bladen County Park.

Tevin McClean turned an assist from Jamie Delgado into a first-half Cougar goal. Teammate Tony Ventura knocked in the second Elizabethtown goal in the second half.

Fernando Rebollar recorded the shutout in goal for the Cougars. “Rebollar made 2 incredible saves for them,” said Bulldog Coach Steve Thurman.

Coach Jay Raynor’s Cougars moved into first place in the conference with a 4-1 record and will host Whiteville Central Thursday at Bladen County Park. Bladenboro, now 3-4, will travel to Williams Township Thursday.
