ELIZABETHTOWN – Elizabethtown shut out Williams Township 2-0 on Tuesday to clinch a tie for the Waccamaw Middle School Conference’s AA Division boys soccer championship.
Jamie Delgado and Chace Butler knocked in one goal each for the Cougars. Fernando Rebollar recorded the shutout in goal for Elizabethtown.
Coach Jay Raynor’s Cougars finished with an 8-2 record and tied Tar Heel for the AA Division title. It was the third straight year that Elizabethtown has either won or tied for the conference championship in boys’ soccer.
