Malcolm Bolden posted a ‘Hat Trick’ of three goals Monday night to lead unbeaten Elizabethtown to an 8-1 Bladen Five Middle School Conference boys soccer victory over Bladenboro.

Ismael Arteaga converted a pass from Sammy Valerio into the first Cougar goal in the fourth minute of play. The same two players reversed roles five minutes later as an Arteaga pass set up a Valerio goal.

A minute later Chase Starkloff blasted in an unassisted goal for a 3-0 Cougar lead. Ten minutes later Bolden turned a pass from Zachary Metz into his first goal of the night as Elizabethtown took a 4-0 halftime lead.

Bolden capitalized on a feed from Ruben Alvarailo in the first minute of the second half to grow the lead to 5-0.

The Bulldogs Jordan Porter cracked the scoring column on a penalty kick awarded due to a handball in the box and trimmed the Elizabethtown lead to 5-1.

In the fifth minute of the second half, Arteaga smacked in his second goal of the night off of an assist from Erik Hidalgo. Bolden capitalized on a feed from Starkloff to complete his ‘Hat Trick’ with a goal in the sixth minute of the second half that widened the gap to 7-1.

With 5:50 left in the match, Jamie Delgado turned a pass from Alejandro Delgado into the final Elizabethtown goal.

Raymond Autry had three saves in goal for the winners.

The Cougars raised their perfect record to 4-0 with the win.
