WHITEVILLE – Ishaq Algozy filled up the nets with a ‘Double Hat Trick’ of 6 goals Tuesday to lead Elizabethtown to an 8-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer victory over Whiteville Central.

Two minutes into the game Algozy put the Cougars on top with a goal. Three minutes later Andrrio Garcia-Nunez turned an assist from Jadarius McArthur into a goal and a 2-0 lead.

Algozy then broke loose and scored the next 5 goals in the game. He scored unassisted goals in the 9th and 23rd minutes. In between those goals Algozy capitalized on an assist from John Monroe to score his 3rd goal in the 20th minute.

McArthur recorded his 2nd assist of the game with a feed to Algozy for a goal 2 minutes after halftime. Ten minutes later Algozy broke through the Hornet defense for his 6th goal of the game. Andrrio-Nunez scored his 2nd goal of the game off of an assist from Johnny Gonzalez-Ortiz to close out the Cougar scoring.

Fox Sutton posted the shutout in goal for the Cougars. Elizabethtown outshot the Hornets 23-1 in the game.

Coach Jay Raynor’s Cougars improved to 3-1 on the season with the win.
