Middle School Boys Soccer: Tar Heel 4, Bladenboro 2

ELIZABETHTOWN – Ricardo Rodriguez fired in a ‘Hat Trick’ of 3 goals Wednesday to lead Tar Heel to a 4-2 Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer victory over Bladenboro at County Park.

Chris Perez scored the other Panther goal. Hezekiah Blanks-Adams knocked in both of the Bulldog goals.

The teams were knotted 1-1 at halftime, before Tar Heel reeled off 3 straight goals for a 4-1 lead. Blanks-Adams banged in a free kick to trim the margin to 4-2. The Bulldogs missed a wide-open goal in the final minutes.

Coach Brett Jackson’s Panthers improved to 3-0 on the season and will play Elizabethtown on Thursday at 3:45 at County Park. Bladenboro, now 1-3, will host Whiteville Central at 5 p.m. Thursday.
