TAR HEEL – Cristian Rodriguez posted a ‘Hat Trick’ of 3 goals Thursday to lead undefeated Tar Heel to a 6-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference AA Division boys’ soccer victory over West Columbus.
Coach Brett Jackson’s Panthers won the Waccmaw AA Division with a perfect 8-0 record and are 9-0 overall. Tar Heel will travel to Columbus Charter Monday to end their season with a non-conference game.
Cristian Rodriguez drilled in an unassisted goal to give the Panthers the only goal scored in the 1st half. After halftime, Seth Faircloth sent a crossing pass that Cristian Rodriguez slammed in for a his 2nd goal and a 2-0 Tar Heel lead.
Alexander Saroz found the back of the net with a sliding kick on a crossing pass from Alejandro Lopez that grew the lead to 3-0. Lopez attacked the box for an unassisted goal then knocked in a header off of a corner kick from Cristian Rodreguez for a 5-0 lead.
Cristian Rodriguez completed his ‘Hat Trick’ with an unassisted goal that pushed the final margin to 6-0.
