WHITEVILLE – Unbeaten Tar Heel exploded for 5 2nd half goals, and Alejandro Lopez recorded a ‘Hat Trick’ of 3 goals as the Panthers defeated Whiteville Central 6-2 Wednesday in Waccamaw Middle School AA Division boys’ soccer action.
Cristian Rodriguez sent an assist to Lopez who banged in the only Tar Heel goal in the opening half. Lopez broke loose after halftime and attacked the box for a pair of unassisted goals to complete his ‘Hat Trick.’
Seth Faircloth knocked in a goal off of another Cristian Rodriguez assist. Alex Rodriguez and Cristian Rodriguez both drilled in unassisted goals to finish off the Panther scoring.
Coach Brett Jackson’s Panthers improved to 7-0 in the Waccamaw’s AA Division and are 8-0 overall. Tar Heel will host West Columbus Thursday.
