CLARKTON – West Columbus defeated Clarkton School of Discovery in the sudden death shootout Thursday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer action.
Dasheon Campbell fired in the only goal of the 1st half to stake Clarkton to a 1-0 lead. West Columbus tied the game at the 12-minute mark of the 2nd half and regulation play ended with the scored knotted 1-1.
Both teams knocked in 2 goals in the 1st round of the shootout, but West scored in the sudden death round and Clarkton did not.
The Blue Devils, now 5-3, will travel to Bladenboro Tuesday.
